Welcome to a world of profound knowledge; where we provide scientific research and insightful information surrounding the Shroud of Turin, Sudarium of Oviedo, and the Crucifixion of Jesus
There are many good scientific studies on the Shroud of Turin, below are a few of them
The Shroud of Turin is a large & ancient linen cloth with an image of a crucified man... and the image is believed to be Jesus

Shroud of Turin; Formation of the Images “The Mysteries of the Shroud of Turin” by Robert (Bob) Rucker... See key findings from this article below:
I. There are several unusual or unique features to the images on the Shroud. The images are negative on the cloth with light and dark areas reversed. They have no outline or brush strokes, and they contain 3D information (Jackson et al. 1984), which allows a 3D statue to be reconstructed from the 2D Shroud. No painting or photograph contains 3D information.
II. [I]t is hypothesized the images were formed by an extremely brief, intense burst of vertically collimated low-energy radiation (primarily charged particles) that transported energy and information from the body to the cloth.
The technology to make the images did not exist in 1260–1390. It does not exist even today. Every attempt to make the images today has failed macro and/or microscopically

The Sudarium of Oviedo is a blood-stained cloth believed to cover Jesus head shortly after he was crucified … and was used to cover Jesus head prior to the cloth used to produce the “Shroud of Turin” images
The link below is to a blog that contains excellent images and scientific research on the points of similarities between the Shroud of Turin and Sudarium of Oviedo

Scientific Facts, Observations, and Similarities in the Two Cloths
I. The blood and lymph stains on the two cloths match—both are type AB, which was uncommon among medieval Europeans but is a common blood type in the Middle East.
II. The material used in the two cloths is identical, although there are differences in the manner of weaving.
III. Pollen residues on the Shroud and the Sudarium both provide evidence that the cloths were in the same region of Palestine.
IV. Stains on the two cloths would also seem to match. Because of the way the Sudarium would have covered the head, there is no clear face print—but there are remarkable correlations between stains on the two cloths.

Additional Scientific Facts, Observations, and Similarities in the Two Cloths
I. Stains match descriptions of the Passion of Jesus in the Gospels.
II. Blood particles reveal a high content of bilirubin. Significant for two reasons: Consistent with bodily response to extreme trauma (so a dead body could not have been used to create the image).
III. Pollen grains unique to Judea.
IV. Roman coins on the eyes of image—minted by Pontius Pilate in 29 A.D.
V. Correspondences with another relic, the Sudarium Christi: similar pollen grains; 124 exact matches to wounds on the Shroud; the same AB blood type.
VI. Shroud is a precise photographic negative (on non-photographically sensitive cloth).
VII. 3D imaging on Shroud (e.g. bones inside the hand and flesh surrounding the bone). It has been used to produce a 3D sculpture.

Conclusions: Shroud of Turin and Sudarium of Oviedo
Scientific evidence shows the extremely high probability that the Shroud of Turin and Sudarium of Oviedo covered the same person: that is, the body of Jesus soon after he was crucified and laid to rest in his tomb
I. Scientific evidence gathered from both cloths - artifacts is consistent with each other plus the Gospel accounts of Jesus Crucifixion
II. No other type of clothing - artifact similar to the Shroud of Turin exists in the world
III. Scientific resources hypothesize that some type of very special high energy event was needed to produce the image imbedded in the Shroud of Turin
IV. No one can reproduce a near exact replication of the Shroud ofTurin even with today’s technology
This leads us to conclusions that:
I. Both cloths are genuine and covered the same person
II. Both cloths share scientific physical evidence that correlate directly to Jesus crucifixion plus when Jesus was laid to rest in his tomb as described in New Testament Gospels by Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John.
III. You may also conclude that the above evidence suggests that Jesus sayings in the gospels are also reasonably accurate… and as a result we may look closer at how we carry out our lives considering Jesus sayings and parables in the gospels
